Nazco en el barrio de Usera en Madrid, en 1986. Tras el instituto me licencio en la RESAD en Escenografía, Iluminación y Vestuario y al terminar vivo durante cuatro años en Berlín a orillas del Spree. A mi vuelta, ya cuatro años atrás, continúo estudios de postgrado gracias a una beca en Escuela SUR en Estudios transversales de Arte. He trabajado como iluminador con compañías como Lara Brown o Itziar Barrio pero también como escenógrafo (María Folguera, Celso Giménez o Constanza Macras) y figurinista (Sharon Fridman). En cine he trabajado junto a directores como BRBR, Luis López Carrasco, María Jerez o Silvia Zayas. En paralelo he trabajado como coordinador de equipos de trabajo en la plataforma de artistas AADK Spain o el festival de Videoarte Proyector y he impartido talleres en El Cuarto de Invitados, CA2M, Conde Duque o Escuela Sur. También he colaborado asiduamente con Dodo Laboratory, laboratorio creativo para niños. En la actualidad desarrollo mi propio trabajo como performer. Mis piezas son de distinta naturaleza Muro, es un entrenamiento deportivo que se estrenó en el festival Danzamos 17 en Conde Duque como parte del programa INJUVE; Item Perspectiva es una guía turística que formó parte de Surge 18’; Doppelgänger una pieza de paisaje que ocurrió en el festival Perform Perform en Suiza, Los Magnetistas que se ocupa de la magia y la irradiación en L’Estruch Barcelona y En la Naturaleza, proyecto que se estrenó como residentes en CA2M y Casa Encendida que parte de la construcción de tipis.

My formation has been related from its beginning to the field of performing arts, originally as a designer. My work consisted in developing images from words, images that should endure the space and time of the representation. My work has been affected since by many different experiences that led me to my fixation with embodiment. That means, incarnating words instead of representing them, integrating a more holistic approach to discourses.

My processes usually begin with concepts I glimpse on my daily experiences or readings. At a first stage I work through documentation in order to build a strong thesis. After that, I confront it to materia and body during the tests/rehearsals.

Concepts as constructions generate a gap between life and history, experience and knowledge. I understand my work as dystopian trainings that, through discourses research, allow me to discern which of them I can achieve or incorporate, and which were implemented in my life as mirages, as mere reproductions. My intention is to test them into the body and the material; discover which words are a veil for a vacuum, tracking the impossibilities to translate oneself into other codes, as a resistance exercise in the homogenization of realities. Many of them camouflage themselves as real in their own words. Words produce the illusion of shortening distances.
